An Art-Science Event: Bonnie Monteleone and the Plastic Ocean Project

Meet artist and scientist Bonnie Monteleone and hear about her plastic pollution creations today, June 10 at 6:00, an event hosted by the UCAR Center for Science Education and the Colorado Ocean Coalition. The event will feature a talk by Monteleone in the Main Seminar Room at 6:30.

Monteleone created the traveling exhibit currently on display at the Mesa Lab to bring awareness to the problem of plastic waste in the ocean. The plastic pieces within each work were collected during sampling from three ocean basins as part of University of North Carolina Wilmington research to study plastic marine debris.
