Google Apps Launch Dates and Training

Dear  Staff,

We are going Google Apps for Government!  Together we will move to Google Mail, Calendar and Drive and replace the mail servers, Meeting Maker, and the Room and Resource Scheduling system. You will be able to access the Google Apps suite securely from any device, anytime, anywhere. Your email address will remain yourusername at  And with Google Drive, you can create, store, share, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with internal and external colleagues.

Here’s the project timeline -

Phase I – Plan and Prepare - in progress

Phase II – Core IT (Beta) - launch April 28

Phase III – Early Adopters and Google Coaches - launch May 19

Phase IV – Global Go Live - target launch June 9

Training Classes and Resources

Three weeks before the Early Adopters and Global Go Live Launch dates each group will have access to a custom Google User Support Web Site with instructional & topic videos, Quick-start guides, Life after…(Meeting Maker, Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail) guides, First Days slideshows and guides, links to Google help centers, expert-level resources for deep dives and a training Youtube channel.

In the week before each launch date, we will schedule Interactive Custom Webinars and On-site Training options.

In the weeks after each launch, we will have live Q&A webinars, repeat interactive custom webinars, debrief sessions and the support of our peer Google Coaches, Help Desk Teams and Google Project Team.
