Wanted: Your Best Photos of the Atmosphere for a Community Art Piece

Calling all UCAR Staff to participate in Shared Skies

Internationally recognized, Los Angeles-based, visual artist Kim Abeles has been collecting photo of the sky from around the world for the past two years and combining them to make fine art prints for her newest project Shared Skies, which will be on display at the Mesa Lab April 1st – June 30, 2014.

In conjunction with her exhibit at NCAR, Abeles will make a collection of sky photos by UCAR staff part of the exhibit. UCAR photographers whose work is selected for the art piece will receive a gift of one of the archival print editions from the exhibit as thanks for participating in the project.

Submit Your Sky Photograph by Monday, February 3, 5:00 pm

Send the highest resolution version of your photo as a TIF or jpg file to Kim Abeles at kimabeles@earthlink.net. (If your file is larger than 8 mb, use Kim’s dropbox at https://dropbox.yousendit.com/kimabelesdropbox.) Please include the location (town or region and country or body of water) and your name as you would like it to appear in the exhibit.
