Travel Immunizations

UCAR provides immunizations for work related travel through Passport Health. Examples of travel immunizations include Hepatitis A and B, Polio, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever.

Common adult immunizations are available from your personal health care provider and are not available from Passport Health.

What vaccines are recommended for most adults?

The vaccines you need as an adult depend not only on your age, lifestyle, overall health, pregnancy status, and travel plans but also on who you are in close contact with and what vaccines you had as a child.

Common adult vaccines include:

  • Flu (available at no charge during UCAR immunization clinics).
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.
  • Human papillomavirus (HPV).
  • Pneumococcal.
  • Shingles.

Consult your personal health care provider to see what immunizations you need to keep current.  The Centers for Disease Control issues recommended immunization schedules each year.  Adult immunizations recommended for 2013 can be viewed at the following web page.
