Briefing on the Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Program

Noah Aptekar from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade will give a briefing on the Advanced Industries (AI) Accelerator Grant Program on November 7 from 10-11 a.m, in FL 2's small seminar room, Rm 1001. He'll talk about the next round of funding opportunities (grant deadline is January 2, 2014) for research institutions. These grants, new funding passed by the State of Colorado’s General Assembly, are being called PROOF-OF-CONCEPT GRANTs and will be awarded to:

  * Applied research performed at Colorado research institutions
  * Grant size limited to $150,000
  * Selection preference will be given to those projects that:
      o Include impacts across more than one AI
      o Involve more than one research institution
      o Involve a research institution and an AI company; or
      o Originate from a nonprofit research institution
  * Collaborative projects that focus on technologies that cut across multiple AIs or include multiple research institutions may qualify for funding in excess of $150,000
  * Matching funds shall be 3 (state) to 1 (institution)
