Changes to the custodial services provided for offices and work spaces are going into effect October 1 as a budget-saving measure.
Offices, labs, shops and similar work spaces
Trash and recycling will be collected from these work spaces twice per week, either Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday depending on your building. Both trash and recycling will be collected at these times.
Other scheduled office cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and surface cleaning will occur twice per month on a fixed rotation. Smaller conference rooms dedicated to specific divisions/programs will be included in this rotation. Schedule details will be announced once finalized.
Most corridors and common areas will see trash, recycling and compostable material collected each business day.
There will be no change to the current schedule for janitorial services for all restrooms, showers, locker rooms, ML, FL2, CG1 cafeterias, areas open to the general public, including the exhibit spaces at ML, and conference rooms available to staff via the Room Reservation System.
Other custodial services, including carpet steam cleaning, spot removal, hard floor polishing and refinishing, etc. will be scheduled as needed or on request. Contact Maintenance at ext. 1120 or email@example.com.
