After carefully weighing many factors, we have decided to proceed with the Mesa Lab VPN switchout this coming Sunday, September 22. We understand that many people are working from home right now and are sensitive to the need to be able to continue working remotely. We do understand that some people will be impacted by this decision, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there is no way to perform this maintenance without some impact, and due to a number of scheduling conflicts, we feel we have chosen the path that will have the least negative effect on operations.
We did strongly consider moving the work to the ML powerdown date of October 12, but there are many complicating factors that make this not the best choice. In better news, we are able to leave VPN service up on that day, so there will not be a second outage.
