New Fiber Artwork and Poetry on Display at Mesa Lab

NCAR's Community Art Program announces the exhibition of fiber artwork by Susan Brooks on display in Gallery I of the Mesa Lab during April. The artist creates her own fabrics through dyeing and painting, and then she adds dimension and details with stitching. Her most recent work is based on her daughter’s book of poetry titled, “Rush of Water.” She wishes for her art to express the message of reaching for our highest dreams and becoming the best we were created to be. It is a joy for the artist to turn plain white fabric into a visual piece that tells a story.

Staff and the public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, April 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the NCAR gallery.

NCAR's Mesa Lab's art galleries and science exhibits are open to the public weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and weekends/holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  There is no charge for admission. Please note the building will be closed for scheduled maintenance on Saturday, April 9th.
