Front Range Contemporary Quilters Exhibition: Diversity

September 1, 2017 – October 27, 2017

Front Range Contemporary Quilters (FRCQ) is dedicated to expanding the boundaries and expressions of the art quilt well beyond traditional quilting roots. Together they exchange ideas, methods, techniques and skills, but they especially strive to inspire and support one another to extend their horizons in transforming fabric and fibers into exquisite art that touches both the artists and those who view their work.

Diversity is their latest exhibit, featuring 51 works by 33 different artists, inspired by Maya Angelou’s vision: “We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.”

The Front Range Contemporary Quilters group exhibition will be on display in UCAR Gallery l & Gallery ll of the NAtional Center for Atmosphereic Research (NCAR) September 1, 2017 to October 27, 2017. Opening art reception Friday September 1st from 5-7:00 pm in the ML cafeteria.
