A Discussion of Bill Gail’s Book Climate Conundrums: What the Climate Debate Reveals About Us (Denver-Boulder AMS Meeting)

Denver Boulder Chapter of the American Meteorological Society
proudly presents
A Discussion of Bill Gail’s Book
Climate Conundrums:
What the Climate Debate Reveals About Us

Is the topic of climate change even bigger than climate change itself?  Our speaker, Bill Gail, will make that case based on his book Climate Conundrums: What the Climate Debate Reveals About Us.  Bill will discuss how climate is just the first instance of humanity’s newfound ability to alter Earth on global scales.  He’ll describe how we must learn from climate change to avoid similar challenges that will inevitably arise when society encounters further instances of global human influence, such as global-scale disease.  Bill will talk about the process of writing the book and discuss some of the themes it addresses.  Time will be made available for group discussion, so come prepared with questions and comments if you have read the book. Autographed books will be sold with profits going towards DBAMS outreach efforts.
