CU-Boulder Hosting Intel Training October 19-20 at NCAR

The University of Colorado, Boulder, is hosting an Intel training event October 19-20 at the NCAR Foothills Laboratory (FL2-Room 1001). Topics to be covered include Intel Xeon Phi architecture, the importance of code modernization; vectorization; Intel compilers and libraries; Intel Vtune, Inspector, Advisor, and MPI Performance Snapshot; OpenMP; and identifying threading bottlenecks with Intel tools.
The sessions are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days, including lunch and other breaks. There is a small fee to cover food ($50).

The Regional Climate Tutorial will be offered over a 3-day period from Wednesday 10-12 August, 2016, at the NCAR Foothills Laboratory, Boulder, Colorado.    This tutorial provides a broad overview of best practices for developing regional climate data and how it can be used for impact assessments.  The Tutorial will consist of both lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises, which will be taught by a team of NCAR climate scientists, regional climate modelers, and data scientists.
