September 13, 2012 | Spark: UCAR Science Education produced NCAR's second Ignite event on Wednesday, September 12. Nine presenters covered a diverse range of topics while adhering to the Ignite format of 20 slides, 15 seconds each (hence the "hurry up" motto).

September 11, 2012 | The weather last Friday turned NCAR’s annual Up the Hill Race into an uphill battle for the Employee Activities Committee, but an afternoon drizzle could never rain on the parade of determined EAC volunteers and Event Services staff. Runners, bikers, and spectators took on the post-race celebration with enthusiasm.

"We wanted to salute all of the wonderful, inspiring and amazing teachers around the world for all of the things they do and for who they inspire us to become," says GLOBE's director of communications, Ron Zwerin. Ron wrote, produced, and directed the video, with Denver video company Base2 providing the camera, sound, and editing expertise.
Thank you, teachers

June 25, 2012 | As the weather heats up in June, so do the derailleurs and spinning wheels of Boulder’s avid cycling community. NCAR & UCAR are firmly in the local bike groove, which is especially obvious on Bike to Work Day (see below). It's also evident at 11:45 a.m. each Tuesday, when anywhere from 15 to 40 local cyclists gather in front of FL2 for an informal lunchtime ride. Now a 14-year tradition, these rides cover a wide range of routes across Boulder County, typically lasting a little over an hour each.
