Presenters will discuss the value of community-based participatory research and their experience with the project Taking Neighborhood Health to Heart (TNH2H). This project, initially funded by the National Institutes of Health, investigates the impact of the environment – built and social – on health and health disparities in urban neighborhoods of East Denver and Aurora.  TNH2H is a long-term partnership between scientists and community members.
