Boulder Solar Day 2014—Tuesday, March 18, 2014

Boulder Solar Day provides an overview of solar research being accomplished at local institutes with a relaxed setting that encourages informal interactions with both local and visiting researchers. The day's oral presentations, concluding with a special Keynote talk by Ernie Hildner on the history of space weather studies in Boulder, are followed by a poster session in conjunction with a tasty reception to encourage continued discussions. The meeting's talks this year will also be including a mini session tribute to Dimitri Milhalas.

This informal 1-day meeting brings together researchers from local institutes, including CoRA, CU, HAO, LASP, NCAR, NOAA, NSO, and SWRI, as well as visitors from other solar institutes to discuss current work on solar instrumentation, observations, and models.

Boulder Solar Day will once again be hosted by HAO in their Center Green Building 1 with sponsorship courtesy of CoRA, HAO, LASP, and SWRI. Participation is free and open to anyone interested in local solar research.

Will this event be webcast to the public by NCAR|UCAR?:
