UVISIT Stories: Space Weather in the Green Mountains

Mausumi Dikpati (HAO) spent two weeks last fall teaching a course on space weather and climate at Lyndon State College and bringing the topic to other students, faculty, and community members. The visit was made possible through UCAR's UVISIT program, which works to foster extended visits by NCAR and UCAR scientists and engineers to U.S. universities and colleges. Universities may request UCAR staff visits, and UCAR staff may apply to participate in UVISIT. Terms may range from two weeks to an academic year.

Find out more about Mausumi's time at Lyndon State here. The UVISIT home page includes profiles of other scientists who have participated, as well as links to online application forms. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
