A semi-annual Mesa Lab building maintenance power-down scheduled for Saturday, October 12, will have little impact on CISL high-end resource users.
The maintenance work occurs during the previously announced Yellowstone downtime already set to begin Monday, September 30. Users were asked earlier to plan for Yellowstone to be out of service for up to three weeks.
The Mesa Lab power-down should not affect users' ability to access the GLADE system, the Geyser and Caldera clusters, or HPSS, all of which will remain in service at NWSC. Critical support systems in the Mesa Lab computer room will not be powered down, including the Radius authentication server and some of CISL's HPSS tape libraries.
