Come see the exciting research and talk to local students who have been exploring in the Dawson Summer Initiative. It occurs this Friday, July 12th, 2013 from 10 am to noon in and around the Damon Room and Main Seminar Room at the Mesa Lab.
This opportunity for high-achieving 6th and 7th grade students will display posters and present the research highlights that this tuition-free academic program--administered through Alexander Dawson School--has been focusing on this summer entitled, "2013 Climate: Vital Signs of the Planet."
Topics that were explored include, data collection and analysis, with presentations focused on such issues as temperature, habitat, urbanization, ecosystems, weather, mitigation and adaptation, and the economy.
This opportunity allows students to be introduced and exposed to NCAR's local and national enrichment resources, to which your presence would be invaluable to help them communicate their findings.
