Changes have been made to the export website.
You'll notice that the UCAR Export Compliance Manual is available for download in PDF format at the top of the landing page. Appendices need to be downloaded separately. Also, a simple, one page Export Compliance Decision Flowchart can be found near the top of the landing page, and should be used to guide you through an export evaluation for projects. If you can't confidently answer 'No' to all of the questions, ECCs and the Export Compliance Manager should be consulted for a more in depth review of export compliance issues.
For those who require a more thorough project evaluation, Stanford University has granted permission for us to use its version of a decision tree and a direct link is provided on UCAR's export website https://www2.fin.ucar.edu/ogc/export-compliance-decision-tree. This isn't new, but Stanford recently updated its site, and the look and feel is a bit different than it was in the past.
You can use the top portion of the Export Evaluation Checksheet Export Evaluation Checksheet for Proposals and Projects (found in the Forms section) to document export evaluations.
Guidelines, Forms, and Resources have been reorganized https://www2.fin.ucar.edu/ogc/export-compliance-guidelines-forms-and-resources in hopes that you will find it much easier to locate the resources you are looking for. For those of you who are used to finding forms in F&A's Forms Library, http://www.fin.ucar.edu/forms.shtml, a link to export forms has been provided from that page, as well.
The website is updated often as export laws and regulations change. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.
