Research Data Management: What, When, Why, How and Where? provides an excellent overview of the political and research motivations for data preservation, and the issue of "dark data". It was created by the Archive and Data Management Training Center, hosted by the GESIS Leibniz-Institute for Social Science. The presentation promotes awareness of good research data management practice and emphasizes the value of long-term digital curation.
