Effective June 1, 2013, employees will no longer be able to make personal long distance phone calls or send personal long distance faxes using their employee IDs on the UCAR telephone system. There is no change to business long distance calls or faxes.
If you make a long distance call or fax and enter your employee ID, the call or fax will be rejected. There are a number of alternatives for making long distance calls including cell phones, Skype, Google Talk, personal pre-paid calling cards, and emailing scanned pdf documents.
