New Perspectives on Historic Trains

Last spring Carlye Calvin invited a dozen amateur photographer friends to go on a photo safari at Boulder County’s Valmont Railroad Museum. She gave them a few assignments - "find the letters of the alphabet, find faces in the trains, look for textures".  The results of this photo safari are now on display in NCAR’s Mesa Lab Library. Come and view the many angles, textures and colors displaying each artists' photographic "eye".

Exhibit opens on Friday, April 12th, 4:00 pm at the Mesa Lab Library. We would like to dedicate this exhibit to Leslie Forehand who had a love for art, was an artist in her own right, and managed the art program at the Foothills Library.
