A national teacher education program is looking for science mentors willing to engage a future teacher in their research during the summer. They ask that interested mentors provide authentic opportunities to be involved in research projects along with sufficient guidance and resources so the future teachers can make meaningful contributions. The future teachers are expected to dedicate approximately 36 hours per week to the research over the course of the program (June 10 - August 10, 2013), and produce a research poster featuring their studies which they are to present at a closing conference in California. When not in your lab, the teachers will participate in a half-day workshop to help them consider how the research experience can apply to their teaching. Teachers are fully-funded.
