This panel discussion will feature nine female scientists at NCAR.  Our panelists are Yuhong Fan, Sarah Gibson, Sue Ellen Haupt, Peggy LeMone, Gang Lu, Linda Mearns, Bette Otto-Bliesner, Chin-Hoh Moeng, and Marcia Politovich.  Maura Hagan will make introductory remarks and characterize the evolution of the NCAR workforce in the context of national trends. Thereafter, she will moderate the panel discussion based on questions from the audience.

Topics will include:

• Perspectives on female scientific leadership opportunities and experiences
• The glass ceiling — intact, cracked or shattered?
• Working in a male-dominated environment
• Work/life balance challenges
• Changes witnessed over the years
