This workshop provides an introduction to unit testing in a parallel, numerical, Fortran environment using the pFUnit software. In the session, participants will be able to set realistic expectations, test numerical algorithms, test legacy code, and similar tasks. The speaker is Thomas Clune, Ph.D., Chief, Software Systems Support Office, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and a principle developer of pFUnit.  This class is open to NCAR staff only.

WILLS & TRUSTS 101: Uncommon Solutions to Common Problems (L/L Seminar)

CPR RECERTIFICATION (MERT and Field Campaign Staff Only)

Review and practice basic CPR techniques and first aid skills and how to use them in real life emergency situations. UCAR’s MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) members will also learn how to work on a team that provides emergency care until 911 Emergency Medical Services arrive. Certification is a full day course, Re-certification is a ½ day course.

Learn the proper use of fire extinguisher equipment and what type of equipment should be used to extinguish different types of fires. Use different types of fire extinguishers and test abilities to extinguish an actual controlled fire in the parking lot.
