Human Resources staff is very excited to announce the rollout of UCAR’s onboarding system for new employees: Red Carpet!
As an organization we recognize the importance of a well-definedonboarding process that will enable new employees to complete required forms online and to learn about our health insurance, retirement and other benefits online.
In designing the Red Carpet product to fit our organization’s needs, we have cultivated processes that will positively impact employee satisfaction and increase each new employee’s engagement by providing them with a positive onboarding experience. Our ultimate goal is to implement an efficient and effective onboarding process so that every new hire is seamlessly integrated into the organization.
Red Carpet will help introduce new hires to UCAR culture. It will allow Human Resources and other departments to efficiently manage all steps of the onboarding process. This new system replaces old paper-based processes and uses an automated workflow to address new hire engagement, tasks and forms management.
The Red Carpet system includes the following:
The in-person New Employee orientation session will change as well; new employees will be welcomed at a streamlined, much shorter, in-person presentation. At this session, they will be given detailed information on UCAR culture and benefits and will be given the opportunity to ask questions of HR and SaSS staff.
The newly revamped orientation program will begin on April 23th. All affected new hires, managers and administrators will be notified of the pertinent details by HR staff.
