NCAR will host the 2012 Conference on Intelligent Data Understanding (CIDU) on 24–26 October. CIDU is a selective peer-reviewed conference that focuses on the application of data mining techniques to Earth and environmental science, space science, and aerospace and engineering systems.
The conference invites papers that include a clear link between the domain (application area) and the analysis or learning approaches. Papers that give perspectives on methods to bring data-driven and model-based methods together are particularly sought.
Paper submissions are due on 18 May, and shorter poster abstracts are due on 10 August.
