Colorado University and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Enviromental Sciences (CIRES) seeks volunteers for the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) event to be held March 3, 2012. Some roles require a science background while most do not. During this regional event, teams of high school students from Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and South Dakota will compete for the opportunity to win scholarships and go to Nationals in Baltimore. http://www.nosb.org/Volunteers are needed for either a morning slot (9a-1p) or an afternoon slot (12:30-4), including a catered lunch and small thank you gift.
We are looking for scorekeepers, timekeepers and room runners.
A short training session will be provided. The trainings are 30 minutes long and you can see what position you might enjoy.
