The annual limits for TIAA-CREF additional contributions are changing in 2012. Employees under age 50 may contribute up to an additional $17,000. Employees over age 50 in 2012 may contribute up to an additional catch-up amount of $5,500 for a total maximum contribution of $22,500. These additional maximum amounts do not include the mandatory 5%.
When determining your per pay period contribution, please remember that there are 26 pay periods in 2012. If you adjust your additional contribution to be effective the first pay period of 2012, please use December 25, 2011 as the "Effective Date of Change" on the form.
