If you’re an ESL writer dedicated to producing more and better work for publication, this program is for you! Offered in seven, 2-hr mini sessions, this workshop includes individual development plans, tools/strategies, skill development, reviews of award-winning papers, guest speakers, practice sessions, and personal coaching all designed to help you learn how to:

• Develop effective writing techniques while maintaining your own personal style.
• Work through grammatical challenges common to your particular language group.
• Identify and eliminate patterns of errors in your writing.
• Determine the appropriate amount of detail necessary to support your findings.
• Overcome structural problems that interfere with clear communication.
• Design sentences as forms that carry content.
• Prioritize corrections and identify errors that can be left to a journal’s post-acceptance copy editors.
• Work with a writing mentor.
• Choose writers to read and emulate.
• Transform your writing into a CAFÉ (Concise, Accessible, Fluent, Eloquent) personal writing style.
• Expand from writing only for your peers to communicating science to the public.
• Develop and follow a writing plan that enhances your career
