UCAR's Level 3 Dial-up Remote Access Service to be Decommissioned
A declining user base, excessive cost per user, and budget limitations have led to the decision to decommission UCAR's Level 3 Dial-up Remote Access Service on May 1st, 2011.
Employees should work with their system administrator to find alternative means of connecting to the network remotely and with their supervisor to determine reimbursement options. Alternative connections to the network could be: tethering to a smart phone, WiFi, or if dial-up is the only option, obtaining an individual dial-up account from an ISP.
