A public talk presented by Brian Collier, Founder and President, Society for a Re-Natural Environment
Tuesday, November 9, 11:00 - 12:00 noon in the Mesa Lab main seminar room.
Artist Brian Collier translates scientific research into exhibitions and multidimensional projects aimed at motivating public conversation on environmental crises. He’ll discuss his newest project, "Bird Shift," which looks at human activity and its effect on bird behavior, including range shifts due to climate change.
Collier's talk will be of interest to a broad audience, including birders, naturalists, environmental and physical scientists, and anyone interested in the wider implications of Visualizing Science: Informing Through Arts and Science Collaborations. The Visualizing Science series is sponsored by UCAR's Office of Education and Outreach and by EcoArts Connections.
