Level 2: 1 p.m.-2 p.m.
Do other people sometimes feel frustrated because they have trouble understanding your English speech? If you want to make sure that a person or a group always understands you right away, the Clear Talk Mastery Program for ESL is starting at UCAR.
Two classes of the English speech training program, Level 1 and 2, will be offered by Dr. Antonia Johnson from Clear Talk Mastery. Level 1 is an English speaking communication/coaching program designed to enhance pronunciation and intelligibility, and no pre-training is required. Level 2 is a total communication English speaking training course designed for ESL people who have completed the Level 1 course. Each course will have 12 weekly classes. Both classes include individual diagnostic assessment for customized text. Level 1 includes 10 weekly training modules at participants’ choice of a small group training 2-hrs a week or individual training via Skype 1-hr a week. Level 2 includes 10 weekly individual training modules via Skype 1 hour a week and weekly group presentation sessions. In addition, both classes will offer personal coaching sessions to meet specific needs and goals of each learner.
Both classes start on September 24, 2010. The total number of the participants for the two classes will be limited to 12. Each participant needs to be co-sponsored by his/her home division/laboratory for $250, which needs to be paid by your representative with signature authority via emailing the account number to Betty Singleton (email@example.com).
A free information seminar for Level 1 (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) and Level 2 (1 p.m.-2 p.m.) will be given by Dr. Antonia Johnson.
