NCAR's Community Art Program features abstract, acrylic paintings titled "Freefloat," by Melinda Myrow in Gallery I August 30 – September 25. Images appear to float on the surface of the intriguing acrylic and mixed media paintings. The artist uses techniques comprised of layering, adding, and subtracting colors and textures, with passion and delicacy, to reach the desired look and feel.

Oil Portraits by Roger Mordhorst are still on display in Gallery II through September 25.

NCAR's Mesa Laboratory, art galleries, and science exhibits are open to the public weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and
weekends/holidays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission.
